Vulkem/Trempro Question

Stupid question.......

Is Vulkem the same thing as Trempro Polyuerethane Sealant?

I ordered Vulkem from the Airstream Store and they sent me Trempro. They also shorted me a tube and charged me more per tube than what they have listed on their site. ???????? The young lady I spoke with this morning told me that Vulkem and Trempro Poly Sealant are the same thing......but these tubes don't say Vulkem on them anywhere.

Thanks,
Kevin

The only stupid question is the one left un-asked.

Welcome to the forums. Ask all the questions you want here - lot's of good answers to be found. Also utilize the search function above. You'll find someone has asked some of the same questions probably at some point.
Tremco has dropped the "vulkem" name from their line-up (mostly). What you received is the same stuff.

NOTE: Tremco is ending the use of the name "Vulkem" for sealants in their industrial/transportation product line. The sealant won't change...just the name. You will soon no longer see the name "Vulkem" except in masonry/construction contexts.

Tremco

I just bought some "Vulkem" at Vintage Trailer Supply. Here is a link explaining all: http://www.vintagetrailersupply.com/...0&Show=ExtInfo

P.S. - They didn't short me or charge me more than advertised.

Thanks everyone!

I'll have to keep vintage trailer supply in mind the next time I need something. Unfortunately the "Airstream Store" has left a bad taste in my mouth by overcharging me for two tubes and only sending me one.

According to post #1 at
http://www.airforums.com/forum...ows-22925.html?
the Tremcro is a Vulkem product. (or vice versa).
Nick.
