Upgrading Battery on 22 ft 2015 Bambi

Hello forum! I'm new to Airstream life. Recently acquired a 2015 Bambi 22ft and I'm looking to improve the battery life on my rig. I'm thinking from going one battery to two. Any advice on what parts I need , and what batteries would be best to buy?

Also would I need to upgrade my invertor (see photo ) Click image for larger version

I don't see an inverter in there. Your CONverter should do fine with two batteries.
Changing out the incandescent bulbs for LEDs will help even more.

You have a GR24 battery. I went from that to a GR27 then to a GR29. Needed to change the battery box. I am extremely pleased. More simple than two batteries and less weight on the tongue. I'm thinking you already have LED's?

Thank you Ahab, yes I have changed my interior lights to LED. I will take your advice on the larger (1) battery vs two. My other question , I have been charging my current battery to 13.6 what is the lowest I can go to before having to charge/ruin battery , a 10 ok?

Here's a good article on deep cycle battery charge levels:

As per the link from "phann"...10 is too low. 11.8 is a "dead" battery

When you drain a deep cycle battery completely (10V), you lose 10% of its capacity (do that to a car battery and it is 25% loss) and the loss is permanent. Do it again and you lose 10% of the 90% residual you had before, etc.

Certainly moving up to a size 27 is worthwhile and it should fit into your existing battery compartment. If you are really serious about dry camping then you can consider going to Two batteries but you then need to put one outside on the tongue. can go to AGMs that cost a lot more; they have more capacity but the second battery can go inside the trailer, since AGMs don't gas off explosive hydrogen.

I'm considering purchasing a 22 Sport and inquired today regarding upgrading to two batteries and the dealer said it wouldn't be a problem. He didn't provide any further details.

good afternoon. I am a newbie. We have used our 22FB about 6 times, but all on hook ups. How do I run lights, heat, etc. off the battery? Thanks for your help.
