The Double Bed question got me thinking...

and that is always dangerous..."Don't try to do what you are not good at" as my ex-wife used to say...but what the heck...

Okay you find a perfect Airstream trailer at a bargain price, exactly what you want, it fits your intended TV like a glove, everything is as you hoped it would be, but it has twin beds as opposed to the double bed...So, are you stuck with the twins or can you rip them out and have a AC mechanic put in a double for you..or...?

Or....pull it out when the mood strikes you.

Had the same concern when we found ours....turns out the the hide-a-way bed/couch up front werks just fine when needed.

Plus the DW has the last werd involving the inside of anything.

In general, conversions from twin to queen or queen to twin aren't cost effective. It's not just the beds, the cabinetry and the outside compartments all have to change around too.

The twins have certain advantages because of the clear center aisle and the larger amount of usable storage that is possible. There are also practical benefits e.g. if you are traveling with your brother or a friend who you might be willing to share the bedroom with but not necessarily someone who you want to share a bed with.
