Serial number

Can anyone tell me whether the serial number is marked anywhere on an airstream other than the door plaque?
I hope so because it could mean we get our baby back.

Sort of depends on the year, but most always, the serial number is stamped into the frame near the LPG rack,on the curb side.

I have witnessed a serial number on the A frame restored by the police, after someone ground the numbers off. Amazing. They used a chemical of some kind and a little battery.

That restored the numbers so that they could easily be seen and read.

Thank you for the rapid reply! Unfortunately I can not divulge too much info at this time because our thief could be reading.
I will say that we have been looking for our baby for over a decade and now are very, very close. We will be posting the story, and it's a duzy, as soon as we can.

One of the easiest ways to apply your own special ID, is to put your initials or anything else that you wish, on the backside of a brake backing plate, or on the axle.

Take a photo of it for your records and proof of ownership.
