Replacement Keys??

So we have a "late model" (2012) 27 International and we had two sets of keys. Well as luck would have it we lost one set and I don't like not having a backup set, for the exact scenario when we lost the first set. The set we lost had all 4 keys, deadbolt, door latch, water fill door, and front underbed door lock. All are very different keys.

Are these something I can just go to the local locksmith and get a set made, or will I have to call a dealer/JacksonCenter to get replacements?

Just looking for someone with some firsthand experience to save me a bit of time. Thanks!

Josh

Any competent locksmith can make you spare key sets.

Use the numbers on the keys and shop EBay.

The water door, battery door, and baggage door keys are the same for all Airstreams of similar model and year and in fact only change rarely. Yes, you can get keys from a talented locksmith, but be sure they work satisfactorily before you depend on them as there are subtle differences among some of the blanks and the wrong ones won't work.

The keys to the (main) door are different from one trailer to the next, and a locksmith is your best bet for those.

I would suggest contacting an Airstream dealer for the standard keys, and would consider getting blanks for the door keys from an Airstream dealer also, as you would then have the best odds of getting keys that work properly.

If you have a good local dealer nearby, you can use them, otherwise there's:
