New airstream skin
When did the new skin go on airstreams? Were there wide body old skin trailers made?

New skin? If you mean the milled finish rather than the smooth Alclad...all the wide body trailers have the milled finish. I think the skins changed in the 80's - not sure. That doesn't mean they can't be polished...it just takes more effort to do so because you need to smooth out that textured, milled finish. They do look great polished...
