There are two possibilities for the clips that hold the lights into the bases. There is a L shaped type of clip at the front and back, or there is the double wedge type that looks like an open point arrow head. (see the photo, enlarge and look at the top underside of the plastic LED--that is the arrow head type.) The double, arrow head type will come off if you just grab the plastic lens firmly and rock back and forth while pulling out from the base. The L shaped type will require you to slide a small screwdriver under the light lens and between it and the chrome plastic base. Come in and under the light lens assembly from the front and back to push the "L" clip on the back of the lens toward the center. That will allow the bottom of the L to slip out of the square hole in the chrome base and free that end of the light assembly. Do the same on the other end.

Assume the double wedge arrow head type first try the firm grip and rock back and forth while pulling away from the trailer. Some will take a good bit of pulling and rocking, but they will release and pop free. If no luck on several lights, you have the L type and need the small screwdriver method.

Be careful when pulling the wires out of the trailer side, they go through a plug fitting and are caulked with Acryl R. Silicone spray on the wires will help free them. They have enough extra wiring inside to come out 3 inches.
