Discount ?

We are considering the purchase of a new Airstream 23 FB. I was wondering if it is reasonable to expect to be able to negotiate a price reduction below MSRP. List price and shipping total approx. $73K ,dealer has offered it to us for $70K. We were hoping for a bigger discount, any thoughts would be appreciated.

Check Other Dealers

Check with Foley RV in Gulfport MS. Extremely satisfied with the deal on my new 2016 28 foot FC.

If you are ready to purchase now, it is a great time of year to look for and expect discounts of 18% to even as high as 22% off MSRP, if you find the right dealer. The dealers are trying to load up their order books right now. a discount from $72K to $70K is just not worth responding to.

I agree with Steamy1. Eighteen percent & higher. Try RVDirect.com for a online quote, you will be surprised how easy it is to get a bottom line price.

I would agree with the others. I would set a goal of about 20% off MSRP. When we were looking at new Airstreams that is about the best we could find, so somewhere around $58,400 for the model you listed.

15% to 20% off a MSRP for a current model year (2016 at the moment) is easily achievable. Especially since the 2017's will be arriving in about four months. As with autos, look for a bigger % discount on more expensive trailers and somewhat smaller % on less expensive units.
