2021 international

Just got new 2021 international. Out on road trip and refrigerator makes a constant humming noise. Is this normal? Had 2007 Safari and it didn’t make the noise. It was also built with much better quality though. The quality has really gone down hill. Screws stripped out and broken off, put in crooked and just left that way. No Quality Control!

I had a 2020 international, now a 2021 FC. I feel the build quality of the FC is far superior. I’m beginning to wonder if it’s luck of the draw. Like buying a Range Rover.

Have a 2021 AS International 27. The Dometic refrigerator works ok but it does have a fan in the back that comes on sometimes. When it does come on, there is a barely noticeable humming noise.

The refrigerator also runs a bit hot on the outside causing walls around and above to get noticeably hot. The temperature sensor that the thermostat uses to control the ACs is attached to a wall that gets hot because of the refrigerator. This can prevent the ACs from turning off because the temperature sensor is being artificially heated.

I am considering adding a 12vdc computer case fan inside the exterior grill to assist blowing heat out the roof chimney. I may remount the temperature sensor on some sort of ventilated heat sink mount to establish an air gap behind the sensor isolating it from the refrigerator's heat behind the wall.

Otherwise the quality of the Airstream itself has been good.
