My father asked me to repost the following with a lowered price:
After much deliberation, my father has decided to sell his restored Argosy. I told him I would post the info and a photo on his behalf. It really is a great trailer, and it's actually in Versailles, OH, where the Argosy trailers and MHs were built! His description is as follows:
1977 Argosy 28’ trailer. New brakes and bearings in 2002: in 2003 a $5000 Dupont Imron paint job in correct original colors, new
custom Durkan Santa Fe wool blend carpet and Sunbrella upholstery: in 2004 a new water heater, TV antenna, OPV valves on 30 lb. aluminum tanks, spare tire mount made behind tanks, and refrigerator servicing. It has newer AC with a heat strip. Mid twins with a pull-out front couch. It includes a microwave with a 2 drawer stand with shelves for TV and VCR. It has a ZipDee awning in good shape. There is a dent on the roof near the A/C that can’t be seen from the ground and does not leak. Also the furnace need servicing but the heat strip does the job. This is an absolutely beautiful Argosy, one of the sharpest I’ve ever seen and always a hit at the vintage
rallies. It's ready to use right now, weighs about 4600 lbs. empty, and pulls like a dream with my half ton pickup. My wife no longer wants to camp, and I am looking for a vintage
Caravel or Globetrotter. Over $10,000 invested; asking price is $6500 but am willing to trade or negotiate. Contact at 937-526-4798 (Versailles, Ohio) or
dadleugers@Yahoo.com.
Please contact him for further info. It really is a stunning Argosy, and additional photos of it may be seen in our (Midamrail's) photo album.
