What's with all the annoying hyperlink ads

in the body of forum messages. if word, like truck appears and your curser crosses over the link an ad obsures the screen and takes several seconds to go away. Is the forum making some money on this? If so, I would gladly pay a little more not to get these hyperlink ads.

Sure be neat to replicate that, but I can't. It's well known that this forum makes millions and all the moderators are wealthy beyond belief..

fairchance, those are called text links. They only show when you are not logged in. Log in and they totally disappear.

(and no my dear skeptics, there is no additional $$ to be made from fraction of pennies made from web hits, whether logged in or not)

Logging in should cure this problem for you.
