What's an SOB?

Hi All,

I'm new here and have been reading threads that refer to SOBs. I take it these are not Airstreams, but what exactly are they?

I'm trying to understand all of the jargon, but need a little help here.

Thanks,

Wags

Some SOBs are nice. We had a couple from Colorado pulling a '78 Silver Steak 27 footer join our Rally group last fall. A really nice coach and really nice people. Usually the people are much nicer than the SOB coaches. All we can do is educate them.

I think it has it's traditional meaning when referring to the people pushing the SOB motorhome amendment

"Same 'ol box"... they all look the same. Maybe different color with colorful swoops and dashes... but all shaped the same stapled together with the same staples. In 5 years, they fade and become yesterday's news...

Othere than that, they help the economy by employing folks to build 'em...

Yes, the trailers SOB is a version of square old box...which is not the same as the definition of SOB when my wife is mad at me...but I won't go into that in this forum, although I have been married long enough to know she is always right
WIth us, it isn't always what you tow, but what ya want to tow The sence of humar comes from those of us that used to tow an SOB. NOw that I have an Airstream life is good and nothing ever breaks or leaks or ... ok I am lieing, but life is better with an Airstream
Best part is, the folks with the nice shiney new streams don't care how old our streams are...

In my unit we use this term instead of SOB. Brand X can't be construed to be anything else.

I tried to make a link to a thread I started about acronyms & abbreviations. If I had the ability to "EDIT" I could keep this up-dated somewhat. Some of these may be a little out-dated such as TV is listed as Television where it could also indicate "Tow Vehicle."

I wasn't able to make the link work but you can do a search for "acronyms" and find the thread!

It's a term that I kind of wish would go away.
