Transfer of thread ownership

I would like to take ownership or Editor rights on a thread in the Argosy section started by 247stream about Argosy Vin Database.

247stream posted on page 13 that he wanted someone to take over the thread. I am happy to continue his work or if you have a different solution that allows someone to maintain and add new VIN numbers. While we are a part of the airstream community it is nice to have a place to keep our "family" records.

Is there a better way to do this? Maybe a database tools that can be used?

I don't think there is a mechanism to transfer ownership of a thread. The best method would be to contact 247stream and ask for a copy of the spreadsheet she keeps, and then you could keep it updated as needed. You can cut and paste the spreadsheet in the thread if needed. You can subscribe to the thread so that you are notified when someone adds a post to it.

Go to the original thread and use the "Report Post" (triangle icon) to get direct attention of the moderator staff.

I am creating my own spreadsheet, which I may move into a database, and going through each post to make sure I have all of the information as correct as I can.

I will either just start posting to the current one by 247stream or will maybe start my own. Good idea to use the report button to get attention but since I am busy transcribing the information I am not in immediate need of a solution.
