I just read this article about Wade Thompson:
Quote:
Wade Thompson steps down from Thor Industries
Wade Thompson, the long-time leader of Thor Industries Inc., has stepped down from the company due to illness. Thompson has given up his duties as chairman, president and chief executive officer, the company announced Tuesday.
Thor (NYSE:THO), the Shelby County-based maker of recreational vehicles, did not disclose the illness.
Peter Orthwein — vice chairman, co-founder and a director of Thor — has taken over Thompson’s duties on an interim basis.
Orthwein, 64, has served as a director of Thor since its founding in 1980 and vice chairman since 1986.
Thor is the world’s largest manufacturer of recreation vehicles and a major builder of commercial buses. The company is the fourth-largest company in the Dayton region, with $2.64 billion in revenue last year. It has 8,500 total employees, including 300 at its Jackson Center headquarters.
