Subscribe/Unsubscribe?

I found an interesting thread I wanted to subscribe to.
By navigating around, I found how to do it.
Imagine my surprise to discover I'd already subscribed to 850 threads! Especially since I didn't know how to subscribe to any.
So I emptied that folder, but don't see how to stop everything from ending up in a subscribed folder.

I'm sure it's easy, help.

Go to "edit options" in your User CP. Under messaging and notification you'll see "Default Thread Subscription Mode". Change that to "Do Not Subscribe".

I did see that, but the default is "No e-mail notification" so I passed it by.

I think you will find you automatically subscribe to any tread you posted a reply to. That is how you get notification of additional posts to that tread.

I am up to 3570.

I don't sub to any.....helps keep me out of the outhouse.
If I want to ck a thread I posted on, I just go to 'find all posts' on my home page.

When you post a reply to a thread you can also go to the second from the top blue bar and go into Thread Tools. There you can click on Unsubscribe so that the thread won't appear in your User CP list (or Subscribe if you want to subscribe without adding a comment.)
