Site maintenance in progress
Recently a hard drive in one of the servers crashed. It's part of a redundant array of disks (RAID) that provide backup to each other. Today it was replaced and it's taking some time for the new drive to replicate (backup) with the info from the other drives. While this happens, the site will be running a bit slower. It should be fixed soon, thanks for your patience.

Thanks.
Am I the only one here who has this vision of you and the other moderators standing around in white labcoats, stroking your chins, in a dimly lit, overly airconditioned vault several stories underground?
Thanks again.

Don, it's a virtual vault. A very black place. Populated with Canada geese and ever-present dangers for those who tread the backyard in sports footwear...
So brown labcoats are more like it.

Canada geese. Whadda mess. The first broods are in the cute yellow phase now, by the end of the summer I'll have more than fifty that think my yard is their paradise.

When we were in Canada, they dumped on our trailer—Fantastic Fan cover, 2 windows and a few places on the body I can see. They are quite large leavings.
On the other hand, the website seems normal to me.
