Really Annoying Autoplay Videos
What is up with the annoying autoplay video adds? These things all of a sudden start playing when the window they play in is way off screen not to mention they scare the crap out of you. There are also times when you are at work for instance that you don't want stuff blaring out. Adds that are not real intrusive are ok but this is intolerable and just plain stupid. Yes I know it is the norm but not on forums where you are trying to concentrate and contribute to the group and these stupid adds start playing. These are the kind of things that would make me spend much less time here which in the end hurts your advertisers.

They are also bad when dealing with very slow connections,make things even slower.Not everyone is connected with a super hi speed wi-fi.

I agree. You have tabbed down to something else and all of a sudden you hear a video. You can't stop it or turn the sound down. It's a severe pain in the HoHo.

If you use Firefox, you can download and install Flashblock for Firefox.
If you use Chrome, you can download and install Flashcontrol.
These are add-0ns that let you control the playing of video content.
If you use Internet Explorer, why? Seriously, it has a built-in flashblock but it is tricky. You can google how to use it.

Annoying pop up
Airstream Daily ad wanting me to sign up is annoying and distracting. I'm off here. Not even sure I'm posting in correct place now!

On the control panel I have requested that the ad column not appear. Does not seem to have done anything. I agree that the videos are really annoying.

I have had the same issues with this site this year.
A Mod recommended adblock plus (firefox) its free.
It helped alot.
But,the internet is getting ruined with all the stupid ads.
The ads make me so mad,I wont buy the product !
I don't mind the ads on the right ,the sponsors,Vintage trailer supply etc
because they are relevant to the site.
But,I do not need to see an ad where diapers are on sale at safeway when I visit airforums !
I don't have kids or are old enough for diapers !

I browse on my iPad with safari or my android phone with chrome. I've never seen one of the ads you describe. Might be a PC thing.

I'm on a Mac,
safari is about the same as firefox on this site.
where as safari is worthless otherwise.
