Profile Question

We have just purchased our 1999 23 foot Safari and when I went to update my profile I could not find it on the list Am I missing it? Thanks.

Are you sure it's a 23'? Lengths are measured from hitch to the rear bumper, though won't necessarily be an exact number of feet. Airstream's list of weights seems to have taken the day off when they did 1999 models. 1998 only had a 19' and 25'; 2000 shows a 23' -- hah, I learn something every day!

You might be able to nail the length if you decode the VIN. PM me with more info or the VIN -- and we will correct the Profile trailers.

Have the original sticker info and it says 23 ft Safari corner bath 1999. I did decode the vin which is 1STCPYG29XJ512764 and I believe the X stands for the 1999 and the G stands for the 23. Is this correct?? Thanks for your help.

Hmm... Our profiles trailer area also doesn't have a 19' Bambi listed for 1999. Give me a bit here...

Okay hapitauk. Karma for helping patch a hole in the Forums and working through the VIN correctly. Five of our mods are 'administrators' and no admins are online right now; they must make the addition to the profile trailers. I'll send them a link to this thread and they'll respond when the change is available. That might take a day or so.

Gail - you are no longer being shunned! I just added your model to the profile options and you should be able to upgrade from "currently looking" to 1999 23' safari.

We would really like to come to the Rally but not sure we will have the AS by then. Hensley hitch is being shipped to the RV dealer now but not expected to arrive till next week and then not sure how long it will take the dealer to install it. Plus to top it off we are having company next week but depending on how late we can register for the rally, we will see how things progress.

If not that rally, then maybe the one in Feb. Thanks for all the warm invites!
