How long does it take for a post to go through moderator approval?

I submitted a question last night and it still hasn't shown up...

I was checking to see if that post would go through...

Any reasons my original post would need Moderator approval?

You being a new member, if your post had an attachment or link, that may have gummed up the automatic works.

I would just post again, and if there is another problem use the contact us link at the bottom of the page.

I found that sometimes my own posts don't show up if I click on "New Posts" even if I have responses I haven't read.
So, If I post something, I later do a "Search", then "Advanced Search", then enter my own user name in the "User Name" box. Then all the replies as well as my post shows up.

I don't think mods approve anything in advance. You'll get a sternly worded PM if they feel you've stepped over the line.

Hi,

Your post was caught by the spam filter. Your account is now immunized and you should not encounter delays in post, or thread publishing to the site.

I'm not getting any help from the "help" people. How do I simply enter a posting to Daily Forums re: a road trip we intend to make; asking for your suggestions of things to see and do between Dallas, TX and all of Vermont. When I posted this it went straight to AOL e-Mail not to the Daily Forums. Help please.

Under the Forums tab above, click On the Road under Community Forums, then New Thread and follow the prompts.
