Free is a relative term. I think it's a case of give and take.
It's free to those who don't contribute, and only take information from it.
It's not free to those who do contribute valuable information, as countless members do. If you sit down, spend your time and contribute a valuable post, then you've paid for the service. The investment is your time, and your experience.
Organic Hosting owns the content of the forum, let's not forget that. This does not mean that it should be taken for granted, but it is another way to look at it. I for one much appreciate the existence of this forum, and the accessibility to the information via the search feature.
I for one also wish it was working more consistently, so our investment in time and effort won't be wasted.

Rog0525,
THAT was an eye opener for me...
Must have been when the new software was implemented, the individual settings were changed as well?
I went back and, reset all of my config. per original..Seems to be working "smarter"..
I'm still having to work around opening the "PM/Email account"..
Growing pains aside, this is still the BEST storehouse of Airstream info..coupled with the best group of people around...
Still dreaming of our first "National Airstreamforums Rally"...(with all members present..)

Thinkin out loud...
I surely feel for those on dial-up connection..Having gone thru the days of 300 baud ( back in the stone age days) and, progress thru 1200, etc..There's just no comparison to having T1, T3 speed (for me)..
ciao

And to keep this on topic...

Now my smilies pull down menu has disappeared and the smilies are back on the right side and ARE NOT working again. Geez. Frustrating.

Yea, I've noticed it's still has a few bugs, but it appears to be getting a bit better each day.

As for a ASF rally with all, that would be pretty cool. Midwest had I think 30 or 40 last year. I could be wrong, but we took one whole wing and then some of another wing at the Moraine View campground last year.

trying to post new threads

i've been trying to post a new thread in our community under in the news.

first i got "no forum specified" message, then "this is a repeat of your last thread", then "thank you, you will now be redirected to the post".........

but no new thread......i must be doing something wrong or is there some time delay before new posts appear?

thanks

We have a forum bug that sometimes kills the first post of a new thread. Try posting again and change the title slightly. That will kill the "repeat" message. You might get through with that post.

I just experienced the problem. Past history had taught me to copy my text prior to the submit. Got the error. Used the back button on IE. Pasted the text. Added a "Smile". Resubmitted. Worked.
