Plagued with Pop Ups
Hey folks,
I've recently noticed a lot of pop ups on the classifieds. Anytime you scroll past any green underlined words, an adv comes up. Is this new, or was I colorblind before? Any way to stop em?

Just don`t touch the underlined words,it`s one way for the forum to make some money, another way is for Supporting members to support the forum by paying an annual fee, which is well worth it for all the info you can get it here.Dave

As annoying as they can be, those aren't really pop-ups because they go away on their own. They're not as pernicious as pop-ups, but I think you can make them go away by disabling javascript in the browser. If, however, you use sites that require javascript to function properly, you'll have to turn it on to use those sites.

Switch to Fire Fox as your browser and install Adblocker Plus.
Fire Fox is a much better browser than IE with considerably more user friendly functions.

You can disable the vibrant ads by clicking on the little question mark. On the following page click on the tab that says "Disable Ads" and then click on the "Click Here to Disable" link. See attachments for more details.

Thanks for the tip, just added Add Block + to my Firefox, not just for the ads here but for surfing in general.

HAHAH!!!! Nope, got over those a LONG time ago. Enjoyed it though.
I installed AdBlock Plus as several of you suggested and it did the trick. Thanks so much.
NOW I just got to sell the 99. (Not to worry, buying an 03).
