I just bought a new ipad (happy birthday to me!!) and I can't remember my password. How am I able to retrieve it? Thanks!

Start here:
iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode
Basically, you have to wipe your iPad and start over; the link should tell you how to do it. The instructions say iPhone, but they should work for the iPad as well.

After you get into it/get it restarted, maybe you should turn off passcode in settings...
