From the forum I click on Classifieds, Trailers 1987-2014 which takes me to
8http://www.airstreamclassifieds.com/ad-category/airstream-trailers-for-sale/used-1988-2013/8
Ignore the first and last character "8". It's the only way I could figure to post the URL without it coming up as a link by default.
I have to log in there so I do using the login section on the page. That takes me to
Airstreamclassifieds.com/wp-login.php
Where I get the pop up.

The old one may have been clunky but it at least worked. This new one does not work well and like so many software changes has been launched before it is ready and apparently was not tested very well.
1. Adds as old as 2008 are posted. These trailers are sold. The owners get testy when some unwitting person calls to inquire about them.
2. Most of the sort options deliver a "Woops" message because they don't work. Sort by newest for example.
 Not read for use.

I totally agree with you. Change for the sake of change is worse than no change at all.

New issue when attempting to edit an ad
Thanks for your efforts in upgrading the site. I have no doubt that you will get the kinks worked out and the complaints will subside. Perhaps to assist in your endeavor you should open a new thread dealing with bugs.
Issue--I realize that upon the initial release a member was unable to edit an ad from the new dashboard--the pencil icon or hyper-link at the bottom of the ad. A new problem now seems evident. Upon attempting to edit an ad the user receives a message stating "You cannot edit ad. This ad is not yours" or something to that effect. At the same time you can obviously see that the ad is yours as both the ad header and dashboard are showing the same user name.
Change is always difficult but things will settle down once you get the bugs worked out. Keep on plugging and thanks for your efforts.

Janet,
Thanks for all the hard work!!!
As a software developer I know the effort and stress these upgrades can take.
And to all that are out there that want to chime in on the whys and how-comes an upgrade is needed...
I will just say that it is not always apparent why it is necessary. Thing other than look and feel can affect the decision to upgrade a system. Like the hardware it is on, the underlying software is no longer supported, the hosting service no longer wants to host the application and a bunch of other reason that are not apparent to the end user. This is what we in the IT industry call lifecycle management.
So Thanks again to all that have worked so hard on this free and appreciates site.

Folks who are complaining can always Post their Airstreams for sale on Craigslist. It's free and it'll reward you with loads of qualified buyers. Be patient people. If anyone ever tried to use the old classified with an IPhone they'd immediately will see an improvement I'll warrant. Also an improvement in the interface, drop downs etc. The software was fairly rudimentary and probably not very usable on mobile devices. Take a break from the classified for a week use Craigslist or for better qualified buyers, EBay. When you come back...you'll like what's been done.

For those of us not interested in the Classifieds, how do you turn the forums off from receiving all these junk posts that clutter up the latest forum posts????

Being a former software engineer. I have ask the questions
Why wasn't this tested offline?
Why not give us the option to turn off/on the classified page?
99% of my visitation to this web site is on my iPod. This classified thing just fills my screen. Too much sorting thru the red avatars.

When I want to search some subject, isn't this new format just going to complicate the search results?????
The old system worked like it should. If you wanted classifieds you just clicked and went there.
KEEP THE FORUMS AND CLASSIFIED SECTIONS SEPARATE!
On the classified now you have, for example, all the motorhomes listed together. Takes forever to load on mobile, and numerous pages of units that are not of interest?
This is now working!
Dave

dave, go to the header of the classified forum and using the tools tab, click on the "ignore forum' tab. this should block that forum.

This is getting way beyond annoying. I don't usually even check the classifieds and now I have to weed thru the posts on here everyday. I for one will be coming here a lot less because this is not an enjoyable experience anymore. I can't control what I want to look at. Just like everything else in this SCREWED up country you get told what you will be able to look at and when you will get it. I also don't like the fact that this site holds cookies now too. Used to when you left the page it automatically logged you out. And now if you are not logged in when you come to the site it knows you are here even before you log in. Again just like this SCREWED up country you have no privacy.

How do you do that on an iPhone, iPad or iPod?
I do not understand why there was not any design criteria, along with instructions on how to get rid of these nuisance adds.

I'm not getting the complaints. I am browsing the forum on my iPad just fine, without any intrusion from the classifieds. What's the problem?

This is a free site and as a supporting member the cost is minimal for the massive amount of information available. When the bugs are worked out I'm sure most will be happy.
I just updated to IOS7 and am not sure I like that upgrade but then again I paid a lot for the phone and that gives me more room to gripe.
