Ah ha! Click on the "riveted" "Airforums an RV life company" placard in the upper left corner of the page and the banners appear.

Airstream App on Iphone
I am not able to log in to the Airstream app on my Iphone. Before today, I did not have any problems logging in on my Iphone. Today when I tried to log in, I get a Forum SSO error 2 message. I re-enter my user name/email and password with no success.

So, it finally went into effect.
When Janet first posted about the changes, I tried it and didn't seem to notice a difference, but I think that was because it hadn't gone into effect.
But as of yesterday, I was having trouble also. I have read the whole thread to include post #1. I read it again.
Seems some of you had figured it out. I used the forum mostly on my android cell and tablet.
So question is, is there still an APP? Based on this opening quote from post #1 it seems not. "In the coming days forum access via the mobile app will be discontinued"
Based on that I have uninstalled the app on both cell and tablet.
I have now opened AirForums on my android phone by going thru a Browser then signed on. Touch the Blue AirForums box and it will give you the option of choosing a mobile view.
You can see new posts but not subscribed ones. Can't imagine going thru this browser sign in process each time. Obviously, we all got really spoiled by the click of the APP button. It was such a good way to spend my time when watching (not really) football as a companion.
Guess I'm going to have more free time until the new software changes come out.
And unrelated, but Amazon discontinued their shopping APP also opting for the browser.
Nothing is constant in life but change!

Yes, also had the same experience starting yesterday and now am using a Browser to access AirForums.Com. All is working on desktop, mobile and tablet.
Question................is there a preferred Browser to use? Is the site optimized for one ?
Thanks

Any browser should be fine although browsers that delete cookies at page changes will provide a less than satisfying experience. The site uses cookies to keep you logged in at page changes and to mark threads as having been read.
Firefox and Chrome are both good options.

So, if I have this correct, the final recommendation is to delete the Airforums app off our phones and devices as it no longer works, nor will it ever work again. In lieu, use Chrome on our phones and devices and navigate to airforums.com for a similar experience.
Then.. someday in the future, will there be a replacement app?

Kscherzi,
That's the way I understand the plan. I have good hopes for the new software that's coming and know that they have our best interests at heart.
I already miss the app. It was so easy to click on quickly throughout the day to give a quick look at subscribed and new posts. I can imagine there will be considerably less traffic if a app does not return. I can't imagine going thru the browser and signing in each time.
Thanks Janet for the browser response. I thought one should always clear history and cookies.

I’ll pile on here. The website is not as user friendly and the APP. I had several threads I’ve been following…for years. Some go back 2003 before we got our first trailer. I’m very disappointed for that history loss.

Apparently there is still a way to access your subscribed threads in the mobile view of the website. Here's how I get there on my Samsung phone...
1) Tap on "menu" on the upper-right corner (next to the three horizontal bars on mine)
2) Select "User CP"
3) Scroll down a page or two until you see "New Subscribed Threads". Here you can see any new post to your subscribed thread.
4) To see the complete listing of all your subscribed threads tap on "View all Subscribed Threads" which for me is in green text at the bottom of the New Subscribed Threads section.
Save a bookmark directly to this page, and the put the bookmark as a shortcut icon on your Home Screen to make it easier to get to whenever you want. On my browser I have Air Forums opened in a separate tab which I keep open.
If you don't want to sign into Air Forums each time you access it, just keep it open in a tab. There is no need to back all the way out of your browser each time on an Android phone - just let it sit there with the tab open. The next time you go to the browser the tab will still be there.
None of this is as convenient as the stand-alone app, for sure. But with a few tweaks it's sort of almost usable.

What a horrible user experience! Obviously the site owners are at a laptop or desktop. While not sure, I would suspect a major portion of the users access this forum through mobile devices. The ease of use selecting and navigating threads has been significantly worsened. The readability on smaller screens has worsened significantly as well.
Has anyone found a way to mark all threads as read so new posts can truly by a concise list of new posts?

Thanks Richard for those helpful tips.
You can also use the quicklinks blue button toward the right side of the option buttons and hit the subscribed choice.

Are you on iPhone or Android? I'm not seeing a blue button OR any option buttons on my browser. I'm using a Samsung (Android) and using the Samsung browser.

Sorry Richard I messed that all up.
I have been using AF on a Samsung Android phone and tablet. What I described above was on my tablet. And in looking at it now again I am reminded that the phone and tablet versions look different.
On the tablet it has more options once signed in. There is quick links, then subscription is in the drop down.

RE: Mobile App Changes
I guess that I am in the minority. I tried the phone app first on my Android phone and then after I switched to the iPhone. The app always seemed to misbehave when I tried to find something and I never had much luck pursuing any of the functions that I could accomplish on the website in a few seconds. I just tried the new option through the website using the browser on my iPhone, and it has the same functionality that I have come to expect from the website when I am on one of my computers.

Are you talking about the AF app or through a web browser? Because the app is no longer working for anyone from what I know.
