I've had major forum withdrawal the past couple of days - glad to see it back. Thanks Andy - hope the new server is up and well.

Looked like there were a bunch of folks going through withdrawal. It looked to me as if all or most of Andy’s sites went down along with a fair portion of DNS. This looked like a major outage not limited to Airstreamforums.com
I guess the "eco web servers that use 90% less power" just aren’t up to the task. www.organichosting.com
Then again, I didn’t know the server that was installed last year for this forum fit the category of using 90% less power...maybe if you compare it to a central A/C unit.

So sorry for the down time. There was a little confusion on who was supposed to handle some of the migration pieces over the wekend and that caused nearly a 2 day delay... Any posts from over the weekend were lost (sorry about that).

**Was THe URL HI-Jacked?**
I tried to log on late last night using a bookmark under favorites; when I did it took me to another web site all together. Was there a problem with someone hi-jacking the URL?
Glad to see everything back to normal.

No, the URL was not hijacked... Maybe your browser tries to reach a site and if it's not available it takes you to another site?

That was harsh, man. I would have stayed out camping an extra day if I'd known there was no forum waiting for me. Would have saved a lot of pacing around and checking every ten minutes!

no, it was some other strange thing...I can't remember the url that I wound up at, but it was something I've never seen before. it wasn't one of those default search sites.
I did a ping on www.airforums.com at one point, and actually got an "unknown host" response, which I thought was odd, too. why would the entry have been removed from dns??? oh, well. no biggie.

Was it the Brawl?
I hope no one running this forum was part of that awful Basketbrawl in Detroit! I surely felt alone!
