Issues with Classifieds
I've been trying to post an ad since Sunday. At first I think my photos were too large. When I tried to post yesterday and today I get an error message about the server not responding.
Any known issues or fixes?

Would you please email me a photo that you are trying to post?
I can then test it for you and see if the size is too large...

Not to hijack, but . . . close friends tried to post an adv. last night. Pics post fine. I tested one on the normal channels. They read the "tips and trix" article; did all three steps, checked all the boxes, pushed the "submit" button. Nothing appeared last night and nothing this morning, even tho one or two new ads HAVE appeared in the listings (1988-current Trailer area). Can someone help diagnose what went wrong? How do we start? THANKS!

As you undoubtedly know, the login at the Classifieds is the same as the login here in the Forums.
However, the Classifieds will often log you out with no notice, and it's not obvious that it has done that.
Apparently, the vast majority of problems that arise are caused by the system logging you out between, or even during sessions.
The only way to be sure you are logged in is to look in the far right corner of the first horizontal dark blue line down from the top. If it says "logout", you are logged in.
Have you seen that happen?

The classifieds software is an add-on package that is separate from the main forum software. Classifieds is very touchy about image attachments -- too large a filesize or any image greater than 600 pixels and the ad simply will vaporize. Before starting any ad I strongly encourage folks to resize any images in conformance with the following instructions - http://www.airforums.com/forums/f138...tml#post612696
An ad will appear within a minute or two of submitting.
.................................................. .............................
On editing/resizing any photos one wants to keep, do not use the 'Save' command in a photo editor -- that will overwrite the original. Always use 'Save As'.

Another isue with classifieds
I posted an ad earlier today. The detailed description did not get included when the ad posted. So I posted a comment to my ad to include the description. Appears the site is not working correctly.

Hi there! Sorry about your problem.
May I ask: are you on PC or Mac, and what browser do you use (Internet Explorer, Chrome, or...?)
Thanks,
Aage

Trying to edit my ad as well. "Script not entered correctly" is the error I receive. We have a Mac and I think it is Explorer. But I will try to delete it and start over...

Has my ad been deleted?
Hi there,
I can't find the ad that I had on CLASSIFIEDS. Hopefully it hasn't been deleted, as I tried to renew it when I got the "Your ad will expire in 5 days" message. I sent a message and didn't get a response.
HELP, please????!!!
Thanks,
Sandy
