'Nuther useful tool...

.....is in the lower left hand corner of each post. It's called the "report post" feature. As a former Moderator, I can tell you that function works well.....when used in good faith.

Yuppers....it's the power or mute button on your TV or stereo.

And that's exactly why I have trifocals. I was aggravating a disk problem.

Now, to ignore hijacking mods...

Klattu - clarification please - are you talking to your servant Igor, or were you trying to ignore the ignore thread?

Never used the ignor function before; however, I have now used it for someone who cannot seem to give an educated answer to a serious question without demeaning the person asking the question, or being sarcastic towards someone who doesn't agree with him/her. We don't usually have that here on the Forum... and I know because I have asked a lot of stupid questions. I always get thoughtful answers, sometimes too complicated for me to understand, but given with a sharing heart.

This ignore function seems to be an alternate means of applying sage advice once offered by my maternal grandfather, a wise country gent. His advice, when dealing with an agitating sort, would be "Never argue with an idiot. It might be difficult for those watching to tell the difference."

And there's always the great, "Never argue with idiots. They will take you down to their level and then beat you with experience." Someone cool (I forgot whom, sorry!) uses that as their sig line on this forum.

I am amazed at the general good, friendly and helpful nature of the folks on this forum and when those few who seem insistent on being condescending, wanting to pick a fight, or holier than thou come along, they really stick out like a sore thumb... And has anyone noticed that a sore thumb remains sore for a while and makes your life uncomfortable...but after a while the pain just goes away. So do these guys (thank gawd).

Happy trails!

Remedial help

I know I have seen the ignore function before but have never felt like I need it... until now.
I was just trying to use it and couldn't find it.
Until someone tells me how, I'll have to stay away from the genny thread....

Remedial help:

1. Click on users name in avatar block and select view profile from drop down menu.

2. Then under their profile picture in the profile you can click on add to ignore list.
