Ignore a thread

What does "Ignore a Thread" do under Thread tools. Is there a way to delete a thread from my view. There's one that that I would just like to see go away, at least for me. Thanks

Ignore thread will remove the thread from your view. You can always undo this in your user cp.

To ignore a thread:
Open the thread and click on thread tools. Select 'ignore thread'

It's also possible to ignore an entire forum area by selecting 'forum tools' from the top of the open forum.

Don,

Did you get this message when you clicked on the "Ignore Thread" button?

"This thread has now been marked ignored. View your UserCP do remove it from your ignore list."

Also check the Ignored Thread tab on your user CP to see if the thread is listed there.

I just tried it with a thread I don't want to see anymore (wonder if it's the same one?), and I no longer see it on the portal page. I also no longer see it in the forum it is in, but I do see it in it's subforum, as a "most recent post".

In unignored it then ignored it again. Its listed on my CP as ignored, but it still there when a new response comes in on the Airstream Forums page.

I am going to stop now because I am sure others are now ignoring this thread.

Don,

I spent some time looking at this issue today.

When a thread is ignored it drops off the "Portal" and the "New Posts" pages. When I go to the "Forums" page I can still see it under the "Last Post" column if the thread has not been updated with a new post since I ignored it.

If the thread gets updated with another post after I ignore it then it does not it show at all on the "Forums"page.

See if this works for you.
