How to block out threads about the WB
Is there a way to block threads about the WB? Like a train wreck, I just cannot stop watching and find it all totally toxic. With the latest propaganda campaign against any opposition to the current changes, it just goes too far. I know that it is possible to block individual posters, is it possible to block all things WBCCI related?

If you go to the WBCCI forum, and select Forum Tools from the bar at the top right, there is an option to 'ignore' the forum. That way the threads will not show up on your Portal page. Hopefully that will hide them from you enough to break your addiction to the drama

In the blue banner at the top of the page is THREAD TOOLS. OPEN the offending thread, find the thread tools drop down and click on IGNORE.
I was so glad when the mods came up with this feature. I WAS ALSO SICK TO DEATH of the same of crying and whining.

Am I missing something?
I don't understand. Do threads that you don't like or you don't want to read appear on your screen and open themselves up for you to read even though you don't want to? I am rather new to the Forums but thought you only had to read what you wanted to, sort of the way the newspaper works. You can read a headline and not have to read the story. The story is usually factual but not necessarily what you want to hear. Sometimes it is best to just not pick up the newspaper at all.

yes, but you don't understand...it takes will-power to do so, and I'm in the same boat as frank, much like the accident on the side of the road, you don't want to watch, but are compelled to do so....and as much as I don't want to read the threads, I still do anyway

What a nice feature! Doing that probably freed up an hour a week. Now if only I could do that with my newspaper...

Frank,
I can understand the sadness of what you are thinking. Not only are there those outside your old unit doing it, but members of your old unit doing it.
The tactics being used are used all the time in the halls of Washington DC, little did we know it would move into the WDCU.

Happily I have learned to resist reading threads that I am not interested in or don't care to participate in their toxic nature. I know they are there, but I can resist the temptation to open them. OK sometimes I do, especially if someone I know the last poster ... but not usually.

I am just not as strong as some of you. I guess I had a bit too much of my heart in the wrong place for too long and just do not know better. Thank you all for the help. Believe it or not I even appreciate the snarky responses.

Frank, there's also a little arrow to the right of the header in the "clubs discussions" bar. If you click that arrow, the entire portal for the clubs will roll up like a dirty doormat, and you won't have to look at anything there.

Me too Frank. I don't know if I can do this. I may need a step program but that not so merry-go-round has made me dizzy. No more Wally Byam Carnival Club. I think my ride is over. Now just to stay away from the thing... It's tough not watching after all these years.

Thats exactly why I block em out. Im like someone said,I gotta look at that wreck, I dont want too even see comments from HAS BEENS,who always seem to want to flant the fact that they are PAST PRES of something which means EXACTLY NOTHING. THEY JUST WANT to try to impress someone. THEY ARE HAS BEENS . But some people will never learn, they just keep throw in money at something thats dying expecting a different outcome each time and the result is always the same.
I know what I said will ruffle some feathers,TOUGH.ITS freedom of speach.I dont always like what people say about me either, but I consider the source and move on.

Folks, this is a thread about how to block forums so you don't have to get sucked into the drama. Lets not bring the drama here, please.

I did not start this thread to create any drama. I honestly wanted to know how to block it out. I even followed up with unsubscribing to many threads. I am grateful to learn how to do all this.

Not lurking and no serious withdraw. I have unsubscribed to yet another WB related thread. As they come up on my page, I unsubscribe. It feels really good Carol. I have even begun listing all my stuff on Ebay.

What Airstream stuff have you listed on eBay? I might be interested.
Thanks,
