How do I renew my classified ad

Hi Folks,

I have received a couple notices that my ad in the airstream classifieds is about to expire and that I need to follow a link to renew. I click on the link but it just takes me to the classified section. I am not seeing what I need to do at that point to renew my ad though.

I've done this twice now, but I keep getting the expiration notice.

Any help? Thanks.

Tim

Tim, I have observed that there are few indications that you actually renewed. But that indeed is all it takes. Your ad appears to be updated successfully, so it will run until you receive an additional notice.

Thanks, I appreciate the reply.

I never was able to figure out how to renew the ad. I kept getting the notices that said I needed to renew, so I ended up just deleting the ad and resubmitting a new one. I don't think that is how it is suppose to work, but that is the only thing I could see to do.

Anyway, it looks like I am good to go now. Thanks.

Still confused.

To renew do I have to delete the ad and re-submit. OR, do I just click on the email link and it is automatically re-sub'ed.

Since no feedback is given on the latter action, I have no way of knowing.

Thanks!

You can just click the link to renew.

Here are instructions for editing you ad:
Log on to the forums and then make sure that you are also logged into the classifieds section. You may have to login again (upper right hand corner)

Open the ad.
Look down below the ad to find some user options - you should see "edit ad, mark it SOLD" and other choices.

If you have sold your item or want to have the ad removed, click on sold. The item will show as being sold and then be automatically deleted after 2 days.

To Edit or change change your ad click on "edit ad" and follow the prompts. Be sure to hit "save changes" when you are finished in the editor box.

If you need your ad deleted right away, please let us know which ad and we can delete it for you.

A couple of days prior to your ad expiring you should have received an e-mail from us to this effect. That e-mail notice contained a link to click to renew the ad. If you can't find the e-mail or your ad has been removed now, you are welcome to repost it as a new ad.

Janet, I am out of town and don't recall the email - can you tell me when my 1986 Sovereign ad will expire. Thanks again.

I've tried this several times. When I get the renewal notice, I click on the link to renew, but then the next day or so I get another notice saying I need to renew again. As far as I can tell, clicking on the link just takes you to the classified section. I have looked, but I don't see options for renewing there either. I'm not complaining - it is a free service after all, but the renewal option doesn't appear to work as one would think it should.

I ended up just deleting my ad and then reposting.
