How Do I Edit an Old Post

I want to edit an old post (from a few days ago). I'm new to this. I made a post with some photo's, then later on for some reason, and elsewhere on my account, deleted the photo's. I get it, operator error. Anyway, this had the effect of altering my forum post to just show large square blank area's under the words. Looks kind of stupid. Can I edit my old posts, or are they forever as is?

You get about five minutes to edit a post after it has been made. After that, you need a Moderator to do changes.
