Home Portal Page date request

On the home page portal there is a column under Latest Posts that is headed;
"Title, User Name & Date".

Would it be possible for the date to actually be shown there?
I mean the date of the original thread starting post.
Maybe it was at one time (hence the heading) but it is not now (July 13, 2005).

I think it would be a great help if possible. It would allow us to get a feel for the freshness of a thread at a quick glance.

While on the portal subject, could Organic Andy tell me what exactly entails a "View" with this software ?
Is that any visit to a thread by anyone? Member or Lurker (guest)? for any length of time? or does it take a visit for a prescribed amount of minutes etc.
Or is it something completely different than what I am assuming?

I will look into the 'born on' date in the near future. Also, I assume that a view is a page load by anyone. Member, guest, lurker, admin, mod, etc...

I have found out that the counter only "hits" once per user, I visited Andy's "reload update" today. It had one view before I looked at it. then it had 2, and when I went back later, and looked at the thread again, it still had 2 views when I was done the second time.
