Forums slow in the morning?
I ususally check the forums before I start work in the morning. It seems to be really slow recently (7:30-8:00am et). Is this just me? My other Internet sites are OK. It does speed up as the day goes on.

It could be....
That since this is a "free" site, so graciously provided to us by Organic Hosting, that they may chose to limit bandwidth at certain times of the day, so that their regular customers get what they are paying for.

Not a complaint, but I have noticed that before 8am CST it's almost non-existent. It's been like that for over a week. Then it comes back.

I too have noticed that the Foum is slow in the mornings. Just thought it was because Andy had not had his coffee yet.

I have noticed the slowness as well. i am on broadband and I know it is not my connection. For those of us on the east coast it may be slow due to timed system maintence, just a guess on my part

Thanks! I think you just saved my computers life. I sat here this morning thinking about making some adjustments with a large hammer.

So why don't some of the moderators give Andy the Owner a call and we might get the real story and can quit the guessing?
It's slug slow and sometimes no connect thru at all. Thought it was my puter too.
Isn't it amazing what a little shared information can dispel!

I am working on it....
It has to do with the server processing the log files around 7:00 est. I will be moving the forum to a more robust server soon. Then it should be plain fast ALL THE TIME!
Cheers,
Andy

Is it going to be really different? Not to us
There is not such a thing as "fast" forum where we are. On a good day we get 24,000 bps.
Didn't know anything about this "slow in the morning stuff" anyway...... we are never up before 9am.

Thanks for looking into it Andy. My post was not a complaint but simply an observation I noticed. I love the site and really appreciate all the effort that goes into it!

Fast Forum
It's 7:30 AM here in Tennessee and the Forum is "smoking". Somebody must have lit a fire under it. Quick as a greased Airstream going down hill without a tow vehicle.
