forums slow - chat works!

the forums have been slow all day - but chat works great - once it loads - chat tonight at the usual time - or right now if you like!

I have been unable to access the chat for months now. I'm not sure if something changed on the forum side or on my end. It is probably my end as I'm constantly fiddling with my firewall settings. Can any of you techno geeks out there offer up some advice in this area? For example, any ideas on what PC settings should we check to get started debugging this?
