Offensive??

Not me.

When I want to do a lookey-loo of new Airstreams, I know Colonial will have them on You tube.

Secondly, without ad income, this site probably would not exist. The tech advice is invaluable. (Besides that, they are pretty nice about letting us prattle on in The Breakfast Show).

Jeeze.

Colonial's videos (and Patrick in particular - he is great!) were instrumental in our decision to purchase our Airstream. That being said, I don't see any ads since we use an ad blocker on all our devices.

You should not be seeing ads like that here. Can you take a screenshot and share it? Also, can you get me the URL where the ad takes you? I can then investigate.

This is my screen when I open Airforums on my PC. there is not a problem on my I Phone.

While this is not a Colonial ad it illustrates the issue.

I see no reason for any ad to populate 80% of the page when I open it.

Usually that one only shows up one time.

I use the AirForums app on my android phone and Nexus tablet 90 % of the time and never deal with any of those issues.

BUT when trying to sign on at home that one pops up so quickly and several times it's a race to get the password in before it pops up again.

(The same one Howie shows)

That is the newsletter subscription box. It has a little x in the top right corner to dismiss. We use cookies to save your viewing preferences so if you are purging those you may see this again.

There is also a settings option in your usercp that will help with this. http://www.airforums.com/forums/prof...do=editoptions

Scroll all the way down the list of options to make changes. Then hit save.

AKA the daily "nag" per Janet. This thread covers it:

Wow...

I dislike all ads but offensive?

For what it's worth, I view this forum on an iPad in Safari. I have Distilled installed so no pop up ads at all.

I guess I shouldn't be snide about the ad thing. When Facebook began adding ads, I used to report them as sexually explicit so they would stop. It worked for awhile...

Bruce

Bruce, OP poor choice of words perhaps unless he has personal reasons to say that. My words are they (all pop ups) are annoying period!!!
