I’m confused. What is the difference between an Administrator and an Ambassador?
I can’t find any photos of an Administrator on vintageairstreams.com so they must be pretty rare. Wasn’t that the model which suffered from tail droop?
Do they still make those?

Good one Rog0525
All of the "Administrator"s were SOBs...
They are just memories now, as they swelled up in the heat and the roofs popped off.
And they were voted out from joining in on Airstream Games

Bob, congratulations and condolences (how long is the sentence?) I have really enjoyed the Forums and gained a great deal from them, keep up the good work members who are moderators, you help make the wheels turn freely.
Thank you.

bobchevy99 -- Several people have PM'ed me asking what's up. I remain a contributing member and moderator. A handful of us assume extra administrator duties, working behind the scenes to help Andy tweak website functionality and user groups.
sfixx -- just because you mentioned it first I will also double your pay.
Rog0525 -- Thank you for the delivery! It's way cool. The VIN plate calls it an Administrador, so I'm not sure if you understood the eBay listing correctly... Here's a pic in my driveway:

It's in kind of tough shape as we all expect at the start. At least the axles are good. The ASL Store says my GraNite is on back order. I'm supposed to use the 00 and 000 GraNite before starting the NuVite, right? Please PM me if anybody has 2500# WD bars!
Thank you everybody!

Better late than never!
Bob, I just sent you some karma as I found this thread had somehow slipped by me while I was out working last spring/summer. That just goes to show that I have more time to surf the forums when the A/S is hibernating. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and go Fulltime! Wishing you the best for 2008! Happy Trails, Ed

Thanks. Reviving this thread has been a New Year surprise. I am but one member of the moderator team. All mods and posting members are certainly what gives this community strength and integrity. It's on each of us.
Wally Byam would love to see this! He set a target for improvement that is an inspiration. See you at a rally.

Is it ironic that a thread that has been inactive for over seven years has been revived to comment on the absence of a moderator who has been inactive for about five months?

... or perhaps today, thanksgiving, is an appropriate and fitting time to pause and reflect on members of our community that have contributed so much over the years and are now silent...
such as 2air' (2airishuman) who has been providing sage advice via 8,812 posts, along with tricks and treats from december 2004 to halloween 2012.
perhaps canoestream will reappear on december 31 with birthday greetings for tin sista and 2airishuman.
in the meantime, it is nice to be nice to one another and appreciate member contributions, even if we disagree with them and their opinions or "facts".
so on this thanksgiving day, i say, "Thank you AirForums!"
cheers

It is indeed fitting to pause and reflect on absent friends. I was just amused by the revival of a once-defunct thread as the medium for the message, is all. Irony is not always a bad thing, you know.
