Annoying audio pop-ups

This morning my browsing through the Airforums has been interrupted repeatedly by loud, audio ads that pop up, usually when I go to a new thread. Most common are from University of Miami and Craftsman Tools.

At my age, I have no intent of becoming a university student of any kind, and I have all the toolboxes I'll ever need.

How do I get rid of these pop-ups?

Firefox web browser with adblock plus and ublock origin add-ons installed will take care of them.
Supposedly, adblock plus is available for other browsers, as well.

You can also turn your sound off. I have AdBlocker Plus and NoScript running, and the two of them together take care of most such issues.
