This is the fourth forum I frequent to go through the VB upgrade, this is BY FAR the cleanest changeover I've seen. Good job!!

two questions....for now
1....How do I set up the thread so that I am looking at the point where I last read....not the beginning?
2....What are the colored windows in the trailer types listings?
Oh, one more thing. Thanks for getting rid of that idiotic flipping corner advertisement.

1. I wasn't aware this had changed. but will see what I can find out.
2. The colored windows show (new) unread content.
3. It's still there - just waaaaay over on the right side.

Congratulations - initally I thought "where did I go to" when I saw the change. The revised site is clean, eye catching and clearly Airstream - love the rivets. Using members photos is a great idea. For information, I did not see any differences using Windows 7 or Linux Mint.

Comments - not complaints. I really like the new view - looks cool. Now, the rivets across the top add a sense of Airstreaming to the page but really, the grey field that continues down the page - no matter how far you scroll is a waste of space and viewing area. Could you not stretch the field out to fill that in and leave the rivets at the top of the view?

Try this:
Click on the orange icon to the left of the thread title. That should take you to the first post in the thread that you have not read. If the thread does not have an icon next to it, you have no unread posts in that thread.

No, it takes you to the most recent post in a thread, the very last one. Then you have to scroll back to find the one you read last if there have been more than one since the last time you looked at the thread.
Previously, when you opened a thread, you rejoined it at the last post you read allowing you to catch up in the order that the replies were posted. I prefer this behavior to jumping to the end and having to search backwards for the last post I read before.
I'm with nsbcpa on this one.

Please don't listen to the people with the goggles, the ones who think white is too bright.
It looks fantastic and it's highly readable. .. one of the best things about this new, very attractive site.

I'm using Safari on a Mac and the icon is consistently taking me to the first unread post. I'm wondering whether it's an issue with a specific browser or a specific setting within a browser, assuming that we are both using the same icon which is directly to the left of the thread title. I know if I float my mouse pointer over the icon it does pop up a small window that says first new post. When I click on the icon, the new page picks up with the first new post that I haven't read. I've hit some threads that I've never read and it starts me at the first post. If it's one that I've been away from for a while, I'm being dropped where I left of with sometimes many pages for me to review.

Same here, I am using Firefox with XP.
The orange icon next to the last posters name will take you to the newest post in the thread.

It appears to be totally user error on my part. I was not seeing the orange down-pointing arrow to the left of the thread title.
Even after azflycaster posted about it being to the left, I still looked right and never saw the one he was talking about.
Apologies for the misinformation.

Losing 1/3 of the screen width in thread view due to placement of ads and other stuff on the right is disappointing. Lots of dead space on the right side of the screen on larger threads. I am using IE8 at the moment.

Love the new format. As with anything it takes some time getting used to, but I think the layout is definitely more in keeping with the Airstream Look! Great job by your web designers.

Very Nice New Look
Kudo's, what a pleasant surprise and so much easier on the eye with the pull downs. Less congested view. Great looking site! Love the rivets.
