When using android os on Kindle Fire the animated advertisements overwrite the Search dropdowns.

You can use the free AIR forums app. I know you can get it at the Android Market (or whatever it's now called), should also be available at Amazon.

I use Safari on my tablet, and you may be able to get Chrome for yours. It may or may not work, but the price is right, even if it doesn't (free).

Does the Kindle store allow you to install the Chrome browser for it? Or are you limited to their version of the stock Android browser?

I just checked the app store for my tablet, and if Apple will let you download and use it, I couldn't imagine Google being so shortsighted as to not offer it.

Ah, but it's not Google in question here, it's Amazon. They restrict the apps you can put on the Fire. I was asking the OP, though... I had loaded the page before you answered with essentially the same thing so I didn't see your answer until I'd already posted.
