2021.5 International

I ordered a 2021 27FBT International in August 2020, came off line February 10, 2021 and is at my dealer, I'll take delivery early March.
I was told there was a price increase and changes to some components. From the pics I can see a different oven, refer and kitchen faucet. My dealer doesn't know all the details and I contacted Airstream and sent me a legal page of terms saying something like, "we reserve the right to change anything we want at any time" and "the dealer can sell you the unit for whatever price they want". I asked two simple questions; Which components have changed from August 2020 and why has the price increased? I have yet to get a honest or straight answer of any kind.
What any of you taken delivery of a "2021.5"? Are there different components? Did they try to up charge you?

We ordered a new 27’ Globetrotter in December 2018. We were told of a pending price increase in January of 2019 but if we placed the order before the end of the year we would get the 2018 price.

We gave the dealer a deposit, price was set on the contract. When the trailer arrived in April 2019 the Moroney sticker had the $4500 price increase listed but we paid the contract price.

This is all on the dealer, not Airstream. I would talk to the salesperson or manager and check your contract. Maybe policies have changed.

Hope it gets worked out in your favor.

The refer has handles and the oven handle is slightly different. Here is the full list of changes;

The following Mid-year changes (January 1 production start and later) were made to Airstream Travel Trailers:
• New single Smart Plug stainless steel power inlet and 30’ cord-set (30 Amp & 50 Amp)
o 20x more electrical contact then previous model •
o Multi-point locking system • Solid sleeve connection •
o Triple weatherproof seals
• New Smart Plug cable/sat inlet (matching stainless cover)
• New fire extinguisher
These changes were all announced to the Airstream dealer body on November 11, 2020

The following temporary specification changes were announced to Airstream dealers on January 3, 2020.
• International models beginning with Airstream order # 555153 will have an upgraded galley faucet from Moen to the Kohler faucet used on the Classic line.
o This will revert back to Moen when supply becomes available.
 Please see photo below
• Dometic 7.0 cu ft. refrigerators used on 25FB; 25RB and 27FB Flying Clouds and Internationals may have different handles
o It is the same Dometic refrigerator, the handles are the only difference.
o This will revert back to the previous refrigerators when supply becomes available.

Smart Plug power inlets. It's about time. That was one of the early upgrades I made to our 2016 FC and also one of my favorites. It's the little things.

value

Do you think these changes will diminish the value?

No reason to diminish the value. The SmartPlug is an excellent upgrade.

I guess handles on the refer are no big deal, just get in the way
