New '68 Caravel owner with questions

Hi All,
Great site! I have a 1968 Caravel thats in pretty good condition (will post pics soon) with a couple of questions.

1. Is the fan motor in the roof vent the same as the stove exhaust fan motor? And are they available or rebuildable. I'd like to find one at a appliance parts house but mine doesn't have any info stickers attached to the motor body. Amps, speed...

2. Can a A/C unit be installed using the roof vent opening?

3. Are new zip dee awnings available for the older model Airstreams or do I have to find a used frame?
Thanks,
Cooper

1. The same motor. They are available from a few dealers.

2. It depends on where the wiring is located.

3. Zip Dee awnings are available for your Caravell.

Always great to "meet" another twinkie owner! Small is good!

I have a 67 Caravel and I am in the middle of a major overhall. Good luck. I really love mine. Most parts are available. I havent been able to locate a threaded dust cap for my axle end so if you run across that let me know. Inland RV has many of the parts as well as Vintage Trailer.
