Anyone ever put a new fridge in their Caravel

Has anyone put in a new frige in there caravel and have some pictures of the install or even some direction on how to do it. Or even a suggestion on how to get the power all the way over there. thanks Joe

I have this on my To-Do list. I would be interested in knowing too.

I bot a bigger fridge and will need to lift the fridge up a bit to clear the wheel well.

I just installed a Dometic DRM2354 3-way reefer in my '66 Caravel and it fit in exactly the same space as the original, tho I had to shave a bit off the door to the cultlery tray above it. Ran the 110 from the AC plug above the sink and the 12V from the pump switch in the same location via conduit to the left and down thru the countertop...

I put one in my Caravel a couple years ago. It was smaller than the original, no freezer, so a friend built a little drawer under it to lift it up. We ran the power from the box under the gaucho by going back through the bathroom, under the shower pan, and around through the kitchen cupboard. I wish I had found a bigger one that fit the space, this one is pretty tiny.

I installed a new 3 way Dometic a few years ago. There was a great page on vintageairstream.com that I used for reference. The height was perfect but had to do minor trim work to the area between the fridge and the door. I will take pics and find the exact model number if you like. How close are you to KC?
