You won't find an official owners' manual for your
1961 Safari as Airstream didn't publish its first owners' manual until
1964. A
1964 owners' manual might help you on some of the basics, but there would be a number of differences on your 1961 particularly in regards to electrical and plumbing systems. In 1961, the first owner of your coach was provided with a manilla envelope including manuals for each of the appliances installed in the coach as well as literature for options and accessories provided with the coach. Some basic instructions sheets were also likely included that may have varied according to the dealer who originally sold the coach.
Today, you best option might be to go through the coach and record the manufacturer's name and model number for any appliances for which you need information . . . . then post that information to the Forums, and you will likely hear from a Forum member who has a copy of the manual that they might share with you.
Good luck with your Safari!
