Airstream blue trim on 1960 Safari?
We purchased a 1960 22' Safari a couple of weeks ago. The PO cleaned up the exterior --we're not sure how but there are scratches.
There is no Airstream blue trim. Has it been scoured off, or was there no Airstream blue trim at that time?
Thanks for your input.

I've never seen a 1960 trailer with the blue trim on it from the factory - but back then you never know....

My 63 had a blue strip inset in the aluminum beltline trim, but the 62s I've seen don't have that, so it could be something that didn't begin until '63.
But, like Ken said, back then, you never know.

Blue trim on a 1960?
OK, thanks folks. I had checked those photos and couldn't see any blue. We may add just a touch -- or maybe not!

If your '60 has the front and rear lower extrusion with the corrugations, you could find some royal blue pinstripe tape wide enough to go in the indented ribs in the extrusion. It would be a lot easier than painting, and at least in theory, you could remove the tape later if you decide you don't like it.

Blue Pinstripe?
Where do you get the pinstripe to insert?

The factory had it in their store the last time I was up there - you should be able to get it through a dealer.

And if not, you could try your local auto parts store, like AutoZone, Advance, O'Reilly's, etc, in their auto appearance section
