so, is 289017 the serial number? Is that a 59 Ambassador?

Yes sir....according to all the documentation she is a 59 model. We found her in southern Ohio about 100 miles south of where she was born.

Congrats! We have a '61 I'm about to start working on. The floor is solid, no soft-spots, but I want to give her the gleaming outside and find a stove and range for her. Plus, I need to fix it so she can hold the propane tanks again - someone tore off the old threaded rod but left the bottom through the base.

Stage 1 is now complete..
289017 is now in our legal possession with title in hand. She pulled like a dream despite years of being welded to Terra Firma...
She is now at our storage site.....awaiting stage 2 of the project.
