'64 Ambassador owners manual?

Hello, we just purchased what we are pretty sure is a 64 ambassador trailer. Does anyone know of a link with archives copies of the owners manuals? I`m not sure where to begin. Also anyone have opinions on whether it`s better to keep as original as possible when repairing. Notice the hot pink sprayed vinyl in pics? anyone know of a way to get that off???? It was a taupe color before. luckily they didn`t attack the ceiling as well. They also sprayed all of the light fixtures. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

'64 ambassador owners manual?

Greetings HappyCamp 100!

Welcome to the world of 1964 Airstream ownership!

The factory has reproduction of the original manuals available through the Airstream store. The Ambassador isn't listed, but the Sovereign is -- the two owner's manuals would be identical except for the page showing the two primary floorplans. They may even have the Ambassador available, but just not listed on the web site. You can find the manuals at the link below:

The owner's manuals for 1964 were rudimentary compared to what we expect today. Prior to 1964, there wasn't a printed owner's manual. Prior to 1964, the owner received a manilla envelope with individual literature for each of the installed accessories -- in fact, this practice continues.

You can also find PDF files of many of these individual accessory brochures/manuals at the link below:

The Vintage Airstream Club

Good luck with your Ambassadors -- the 1964s are fun coaches -- and it was also the last year for the door-within-a-door as well as the jalousie windows beside the entrance door.

Thanks for the info Kevin. You are right, the manuals are fairly basic, almost like they expect us to know what to do!
Thanks again
