Carefree awning for '61 TW?

I have a chance to purchase a Carefree awning off of a '70s Argosy. The arms and hardware seem to be all there (I am looking at an online ad). I messaged the seller and she told me the retraction springs are in working order.

It needs new fabric. The ad says it is 12'2" from arm to arm. This fits within the scheme of windows, doors, etc. on the curbside of the TW, but I do not have ribs at 12'2". I think the Carefree awnings screw in through the C channel and into the edge of the flooring. I will likely add some reinforcements behind the skin and possibly a rib to add more structure when I get things torn apart.

I can get this assembly for $150.

Will this fit my '61 Tradewind? (I am thinking curvature of the body comparted to the '7os Argosy, etc.). I think it should work, but wanted to get some ideas from the group.

I use a pole and rope awning on our old Bambi and I am not averse to them. The allure of having an attached awning, no ropes to trip over/get dog leashes wrapped around, storage issues cleared up are certainly on my radar, but I don't want to get into something that will require too much modification or prolonged headache.

Thank you, Dan. My Dad's '72 had a Carefree awning...we used to have to roll it up by hand as Dad never took the time to fix the recoil springs nor the $ to pay someone to do it. It was a good awning as I remember it.

I see your awning arms connect to inner ribs for strength. Mine does not have ribs where they would need to be for the awning I am looking at, but I will be gutting it, so I can add some structure in there.

I am also concerned about whether the arms would work with my front jalousies clearance-wise. And I am not sure I have enough room between the door and jalousies to put the arm. Lots to think mull over.

The arms should be long enough to mount in bottom rub rail as almost all carefree were mounted this location The front arm does go between door and window but in front of window where side and front curve panel start, & rear arm goes where rear curve start.
