Hi - we got our 1965 Tradewind earlier this year (pic attached) and from what I gather our axles are nearly done. We've had them greased and the brakes repaired, but they have very little shock absorption left.
Have any of you done this? What am I looking at for costs, where do you source the new ones, and are there any tips on how to do this successfully? Or is this something I need a professional for?

You could contact Colin Hyde Trailer Restorations and get a quote. I’ve gotten a couple from him in the past. He’s probably the most knowledgeable authority on Airstream axles. He’s not that easy to get ahold of.
