14 x 25 vent question

Hi there.



We have an 1966/1967 Trade wind with two 14x14 vents and a 14x25 vent.
The 14x25 the previous owner did a very poorly renovation of the vent by just putting a plexi glas instead of the astradome. I now wonder what we should do. Replace it with a new astradome? Or just a skylight? What you think is the best option? And why is an astradome so expensive? 150$?

Inland RV has them for 120.00. Still high. Maybe someone will post that has one laying around. Good luck.
