Getting ready to head on out west again...hopefully around June 1. All depends on how my back epidermal shot goes.
Last year after 5 months in the Airstream we needed to fix a few things that just did not work. Very minor but aggravating at times.
First the awning: We originally had the awning going approx. length of the original c channel. That work well until we had to drop it because of wind or at night. The problem was that when dropping it, the awning would cover up the door and lay on the ground. Solution: Cut it back so it does not cover up the door and install snaps so you can roll it up and keep it off the ground while sleeping at night.
Second the door handle: Never could make the Bargman handle work properly. Most likely missing some parts. When inside at times the handle would catch the lip of the screen door and you could not open the door unless you popped the screen door open first. Not good if you had to get out quick . Solution was to rivet on a small piece of aluminum so the handle could slide over the screen 100% .
Third to small of a table. Just made a bigger one that was rectangular and not octagon.
Just needed a little buffing to get rid of the oxidation. Will try Sharkhide this year and see if it holds up better than wax.
